    Our Location and Facility

    The Vanlue Local School District consists of one K-12 building located on the eastern side of Hancock County.  The school district encompasses 48 square miles and lies in Hancock, Seneca, and Wyandot Counties.  Approximate enrollment is 200+.  Vanlue is near State Route 15/US 23 which leads to I-75 and US 30.  10 minutes from Findlay, 12 minutes from Upper Sandusky, 35-40 minutes from Marion, 50 minutes from Toledo, and 1 hour from Lima.   We are only a short drive from your favorite destinations. 

    Something For Everyone

    Vanlue Local School blends a challenging academic environment with an array of athletic, artistic, technical, career-oriented, and college level offerings.  Vanlue School averages 19 students per class, ensuring that no student slips under the radar.

    With 100% graduation rate, graduates are confident, well rounded, independent young adults. 83% of VHS graduates in the Class of  2016 continued their education in a 2/4 year college or university.  The graduates of 2016 earned  $ 436,750 in scholarships.

    Vanlue's integration of technology into the curriculum prepares students for todays world. Each classroom is equipped with interactive boards, grades 6-12 are furnished with laptops and there's Wi-Fi throughout the building.

    Tech Prep Opportunities

    Vanlue is a member of a local consortium of local districts that support the Millstream Career Center, where students can take a variety of vocational and career pathway courses.  Students can also become dual enrolled in selected tech programs for college credit. 

    Extra Curricular Activities

    At Vanlue, we believe that extra curricular opportunities help enrich the school and learning experience. Sport opportunites at Vanlue School include football, vollyball, boys and girls basketball, baseball, softball, and track.  Junior high sports are available as well for football, volleyball, boys and girls basketball, and track.  Vanlue school is a member of the Blanchard Valley Conference while also competing against other local schools.  In the 2016-17 school year, 62% of our students in grades 7-12 participated in athletics. 

    Aside from sports, Vanlue School offers marching, concert and pep bands, majorettes, high school and junior high quiz bowl, national honor society, national junior honor society, student council, and yearbook.
