Students will participate in a variety of team and individual sports with an emphasis on developing the skills needed to participate in life-long activates that will improve their overall health. Students are expected to demonstrate sportsmanship, skill development and a general knowledge of the basic rules and strategies to each activity in class. Students will also be expected to take online written tests over each activity to show that they understand basic rules, strategy and the origin of each activity. Students are also expected to submit a fitness portfolio at the end of their sophomore year. The portfolio will contain a research project, a fitness plan and results from previous years fitness testing. This course is required for graduation.
